DT ThrowDown ~ Tooth And Claw

Ah, Beloveds !! ... The sisters of darkness at SMEARED & SMUDGED FORUM hath again set forth Challenge #5 to all who toil in Design Teams for other Masters and Mistresses. They doth challenge us to bring forth our most accomplished works and do battle against each other.

Forsooth - such cunning a theme was laid down this time by the Victors of the last Challenge..... Us at QTR.... YaY... and the Challenge hath been dubbed "TOOTH & CLAW".
The Minions of The Master hath risen again to the quest and hath produced fineries that doth astound the eye.....
The Mistresses of the Master, Ike and Blackdragon have produced glorious works and below is my offering......

Outside

 Inside

I have made a gate~fold card using digi stamps created by the very talented Ike. The image on the Outside of the gate~fold is called NOT the Sistine Chapel Hands and the image on the inside is aptly named Tooth & Claw, Both are coloured use Pro Markers and the DP's are from Susan's Crafty Chaos (defunct)

If thou hast a hankering to enter such a Quest, thou must compete in Teams of 3 under the title of thy masters' realm and, having submitted thy creation, thou shalt be judged by thy peers and votes cast. The Victors shalt choose a Theme of their liking for the next Challenge, and receive accolades from the vanquished and a fine Banner to display within thy Realm.

So, I bid good fortune to all other adversaries.

So don't forget... go HERE to cast your VOTE for your fave DT in the Throwdown Challenge.

Hangman's Handiwork

Hi All and welcome to a new challenge at Haunted Design House. The challenge for the next two weeks is Hangman's Handiwork......use knots or a noose anywhere on your project

Here is my Hangman's Handiwork

I finally grasped the concept of CAS LOL.......still itching to embellish though........ wouldn't it look just great  with a tassel or two?
The tree image is called Hangman's Tree and it is by Usefullidiot at DeviantArt. The Praying Skeleton is a rubber stamp by Viva Las Vegas Stamps, which has been stamped, scanned and resized to fit in with the tree.

Feathers and Fur

Hi All and welcome to another two week challenge at Smudgy Antics. For the next two weeks we challenge you to make something using Feathers and/or Fur. Remember you can make anything you like, so long as you follow the theme and use a stamped image (rubber or digi) on your project.

Here is what I came up with

It's hard to tell, but the background is an image of a fur throw I downloaded from the internet. The image is a digi stamp ~ Heart #2, coloured with Promarkers, from the new fallen set by Smeared Ink. The feathers, bow and mini tassel are all from my stash.

I decided to make a gate~fold card

This is the outside

and this is the inside

As you can see, I have used one of my favourite colour combinations, red and black. The backing paper on the front and inside is from a gift bag I bought in Poundland. The pieces on the front of the card are flocked..... very touchy feely :)  The image is a rubber stamp from Smeared Ink, stamped in versamark and embossed in black.

Emergency Embellishment!

Hi All and welcome to a new fortnightly challenge at Haunted Design House.  The challenge theme for the next two weeks is Emergency Embellishment....... choose your favourite embellishment and use only that one on your project.

I found this one almost as hard as doing a CAS card, because, as far as I'm concerned, the more embellishments the better!.........I love em!

As you all know I have a fondness for tassels, so I thought, if I can only use one, then it's gonna be a BIG one.

Here it is

The image is called Celtic Fairy by Anne Stokes and can be found at DeviantArt along with a load more of her fantastic artwork

Here is what I came up with

The image is called Poe and is by Dark Akelarre.  You can find more of his artwork on DeviantArt.com
All embellishments are from my stash.

Alter a Box with Smudgy Antics

Welcome back for another fortnight challenge with Smudgy Antics.  For this challenge we want to see more than just paper and glue. We want to see dimension and lots of it.  The Smudgy Antics team wants to see you guys and gals ALTER a BOX!

You may use any type of box.  The box can be big or small, cardboard or wood, even plastic.  The shape can be creative as well.  Do you have any lefover heart shaped boxes from Valentine's Day? If so, you may be a hoarder, but you will have a cool box to work with!

Although the focus of the challenge is to alter a box, you must still use a stamped image (real or digi) and you must follow the rules posted in the sidebar at Smudgy Antics to be in the running for a prize.

My piece is a work in progress....... meaning it's not quite finished and I warn you there are quite a few photo's

First of all this is what I started with

Which I painted with Acrylic paint
and coloured the edges with gold ProMarker

This is the finished front cover
The inside has yet to be completed.

The main image is a Rubber Stamp from Smeared Inks As Death set, also available in digi. The corner stamps have been embossed with little crystal skulls attached. The die cut is by Spellbinders.
